My Story, My Music, My Journey
Two worlds collided in 1957 when my Jamaican father from the Windrush generation – whose Grandfather was born into slavery – met my mother, a descendant of Martha Washington. Their love story became mine – and now it's a show.
Life is too short… is my musical autobiography. Sixteen songs. Two 45-minute acts. One live band. Real stories.
From the reggae records my DJ father spun to the gospel hymns that filled our home, from jazz standards to lovers rock – this is the soundtrack of my life. I've woven these influences with my own compositions to create something that's never been told quite like this before.
As a first-generation Windrush baby, I carry the rhythm of two cultures in my blood. Each song is a chapter. Each note is a memory. Each performance is a conversation between past and present.
This isn't just a concert – it's my heritage set to music. Raw, honest, and deeply personal.
I have a reggae band to accompany me for this show, some amazing musicians that have also grown up hearing these songs.
