Julia Titus' "Ma Bessie" performances have been a much-loved highlight of our Century Club line-up in recent years, but 2026 will mark the first time Julia and her band will play to our wider Main Arena audience, with an early Monday Midday performance, creating a beautifully atmospheric start to the day, with authentic early Blues, Gospel and Jazz.

As "Ma Bessie," Julia embodies the spirit and sound of Blues legend Bessie Smith, bringing the Prohibition era to vibrant life through powerful vocal performances. Her commanding stage presence and rich, soulful voice have captivated audiences at top venues throughout the UK. As well as music from Bessie Smith, classics from Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday feature, amongst songs from other legends.

Julia's journey as a performer began in the world of Gospel and Reggae, influences that continue to inform her musical versatility today. Her original album, "Life is too Short," showcases her talents as both vocalist and songwriter, exploring themes of resilience, joy, and human connection.
